Students will learn how to compose the numbers 11-19.

Teen numbers

Preparation: 

Prior to instruction, the teacher needs to print workmat. Have dice available.

Learning Experiences and Activities: 

In this lesson, the teacher will demonstrate rolling a die, counting out that many counters  onto their 10's square, and then rolling another die and counting that many of another color counter onto thier 10's square. Then count all of the counters to find an answer to how many all together. 

Assessment: 

Take a picture of the problem that they have created and solved.
